Hello, three years later.

I'm only just realizing I never posted the new blog announcement here and I'm afraid some people still find this blog through YT and stuff.
I've moved all my UTAU stuff over to http://soaringutau.wordpress.com/.
It has a smaller voicebank there. One sample, the general one where you have to replace every note with "a".

Also as far as their characters go, I've kind of scrapped the entire ideas and names (at least as they pertain to UTAU). So it's name is just Pianoloid, and it's design is nothing more than a piano gijinka you can make yourself, or even just a piano.

Backstory time! :D [WIP]

It'll go on dA when it's done...

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away.... Wait, no. It was this galaxy, and the time was 1392...

A craftsman built a piano, if only to be played someday. And it was. A rich family bought it and played it and all that jazz.

But it didn't last long. Merely twenty years later, a fire destroyed that house and that family. And it broke the piano in half.

Out of seemingly nowhere, maybe it was the ghost of one of the family members, maybe it was just magic, two ghosts appeared.

The two ghosts couldn't talk, as if their vocal chords didn't exist. But, they produced a nice melody from a piano.

A passing shinigami with a curse of her own was traveling by one day. She came across the two ghosts. In exchange for only being able to play the piano with one hand each, the two were permitted to live on as ghosts.

However, they took the form of two human twins-- supposedly two of whoever lived in that family.

They can interact with humans and other entities, however communication is sometimes an issue.

So,

Since it's been like forever since I worked on these...

A) No point in having two of these. Technically, it's Abscissa with Ordinate if there's more than one part (ie, Ori would play the harmony or chorus or whatever.) Or in a duet or whatever... Actually, it doesn't matter who's playing what... you can choose. Or whatever it is that defines a piano from being "feminine" or "masculine" or whatnot.

B) I'll try to fix the slur stuff later.

C) There'll be a lite version, with just one note. But you'll have to rename every note in the ust to "a". The current one is where you just run it through a UST and it works.

D) Someone wanna add these to the wikia? :D Just cuz I'm too lazy too, and what section would it go under...?

E) I'll redo their art later...

The history of the two condensed:

-A piano was made in 1392

-Twenty years late (1412), it was destroyed in a fire.

-The piano was split in half, into two ghosts

-The ghosts take the forms of human twins

-They stick around to play the piano.

-Ori only appears in duets or as the harmony or whatever, due to his laziness.

(I'm working on a short story for this too. It will make more sense.)

Name Meaning: (Abscissa is the x-coordinate in math, the name is just for a name.) Piano sound

Dislikes: disorder
Personality: She acts like the older sister, though there is no proof. She is strict with Ordinate. She is somewhat OCD, and a perfectionist.

History: She is half of the ghost of a piano that was destroyed in a fire twenty years after being made. She isn't a poltergeist, but sticks around to play the piano. She is said to take the form of a black haired girl with a piano-like theme.

History: He is the other half of the piano that was destroyed. He is the bass clef player, but on occasion, he can play bits of the treble clef. He is said to appear as a black haired boy/man with a piano-like theme.
DOWNLOAD: Usually just when it's a duet with Absci, or he plays the harmonies or whatever.
